My love of photography goes back to when I was a young boy. My first memory is when I took a trip to the Carlsbad Caverns as a young boy with my family. My Dad was a photographer and I loved to see the images he was able to capture with his old Nikon camera.
I've shot Nikon my whole life, not only because of the amazing images they create, but also because of the sentimental ties that camera has for me with my Dad who has now passed.
The beauty of photography is that it captures a moment in time and freezes it forever I always tell my clients, "You leave your wedding with two things, your spouse and your wedding images, nothing else remains."
That's why finding the right photographer is so important. Beautiful photography doesn't just make you look, it makes you wonder. It provides you the closest feeling in the world to going back and living that day one more time.
I always look at my boys and wish they wouldn't grow up so fast. With photography I can always look and see what they were like at any moment of their life just by looking at a photograph. One of my favorite pictures that I've ever taken is of my boys on a deserted beach on the island of Lanai. 30 years from now I will still look back at that picture and will be able to remember that day....and freeze it forever.
