So now I needed to take what I learned with David and apply it to my own business. While preparing to shoot the engagements my wife asked me, "Do you have any idea what you're going to shoot?" I turned to her and said, "I'll figure it out." The shoot was a blast and we followed that up with a bridal shoot and then the wedding. As we shot the wedding I knew...this is for me. I just absolutely loved it.
Even though we started 2007 with no weddings on the books, Don and I ended up shooting 35 weddings together that year across the entire US, and they were so much fun! I found myself developing a unique style that clients were really starting to appreciate. My belief that is that every bride should feel like a model, and that through our photography they feel like their wedding day is the most important and beautiful day of their life.
We started 2008 off with a bang when we received notification that we were named "Best Photographer in Los Angeles," by Fox TV. The year continued by being featured on Lifetime TV and being named the official photographer for Ragnar Events which is the largest cross country marathon event in the country. In July 2008 I was invited by industry leader Joe Buissink to share space in his studio in Beverly Hills, CA.
2009 was a fantastic year that brought new challenges and opportunities. Our success lead to opportunities to shoot weddings and models in Australia, Spain, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and all over the United States. In November 2009 my landscape photography was featured in the 2009 Latin Grammy Awards. I've been overwhelmed by the response to something I love so much. Photography is so personal to me and I feel it is my way to hopefully give something beautiful back to the world which needs as much beauty as we can provide.
The most amazing thing for me about photography is that it truly can take you back to a specific moment in time and remind you of what you felt during that exact moment. I am humbled and blessed to be able to do what I do and truly do feel that we are capturing history one frame at a time......
